The winter of my discontent

February 11, 2010 - Kylie Saari
I know it is cliche by now to complain about the weather. But I have to say something about it. It is hard to believe it was just a few short months ago I was dreaming of a white Christmas, believing, somehow, that softly-falling snowflakes were pretty. I now know otherwise. I heard on the radio that the east coast has recently been dumped on by almost six feet of snow. I should just feel good that it wasn't here. But I don't. I just hate winter. I have never wanted to live anywhere but Minnesota. Great education, nice weather (until this year), and a beautiful landscape. But this may be the season that changes my mind. I know my frustration is anything but unique. But I am seriously, seriously irritated by the great big flakes floating from the sky right now.
