| | VeteransNovember 10, 2009 - Kylie SaariDad, Thank you for fighting for this country. Thank you for doing your part so I have to explain to my child what persecution is instead of him experiencing it. Because of veterans like you, my kids can invite their friends to Awana — right out in the open — no secret signals needed. Because of veterans like you, I can worry about when I will finally get around to staining my deck instead of worrying if my neighbors will turn me in for questioning authority. I can tell my city government what I think about a roundabout right outside the high school; I can call my legislators and tell them what is important to me; I can stand in a parking lot with a sign declaring to the world what I think. You and mom raised your first child across the world from your friends and family. You were away from them for extended periods. You sacrificed, and I have never heard you complain about it. You put your life on the line. You came home and continued to live. Thank you for protecting my freedom. Kylie Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
