Falling for Elvis

I recently stumbled across Elvis Perkins. His lyrics are as amazing as his music: beautiful, eclectic, passionate, intelligent, rich with life and an unassuming intensity that makes the heart beat harder, the lungs breathe deeper.

Of course, that is the subjective magic of music and art in general. That which can have a profound effect on one person, might glide right off another. At the same time, there is such a thing as quality that can be recognized by most anyone, and I will be so bold as to say I believe Elvis Perkins is one of the few artists today who fall into that category.
