takin' it easy

Normally, I'm a fairly fiery little person, but lately, I've got to say, I've been feeling ... content. Or perhaps lazy. I'm not certain if it's the short winter days, the recent holiday or what, but I'm OK being a semi-recluse in rural Minnesota, having no social obligations to keep me from my reading, cooking, hobbies at home. And at the same time, it's rather comfortable knowing half the people at the grocery store, movie theater, city hall, etc.

So while I miss the perceived anonymity afforded by life in the big city; the culture one encounters just walking down the street; the variety of people, stores and restaurants (particularly for a vegetarian); I must say the pace of life here in Fairmont ... well, it ain't bad. In fact, it feels pretty darn good.
