| | OuchDecember 1, 2008 - Kylie SaariWhile spinning out of control on a slippery highway 169 this weekend - for what seemed like an eternity - I was reminded just how dangerous driving is. When I slammed into the cement divider, and was able to walk away from the truck on my own two feet, I was reminded how important all the safety testing that is done on the vehicles are. It got me thinking about the loans the big three auto makers are asking for from the government. I will admit, I haven't been following this story very closely. I usually feel the in the free market, things will work themselves out. If a business closes for bad management, a new one will open if there is still a need. But if the money they need is to continue that very expensive crash testing, today I say give it to them. The outside of my truck is demolished. There is fluid all over the highway. But I am at work today, admittedly suffering some serious whiplash, but it could be worse, much, much worse. And when the valium wears off it might be. But for now, I just have another reason to be thankful this year. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
